Garden sheds are purchased for a variety of reasons. Not only are they excellent for increasing storage space, freeing up the garage for the car and enabling you to tidy-up the garden by bringing in children's toys and tools, but they also provide a unique space in which to potter around and, sometimes, perhaps, escape the chaos and noise of the household! Whatever your reasons for buying a garden shed, Albany timber sheds supplied by Cash-Save Mica Hardware provide a reliable and attractive solution to your garden storage needs.

Why we sell Albany sheds – We believe Albany sheds represent excellent value for money, they are not necessarily the cheapest around but when compared to other suppliers the quality and finish is considerably greater for little or no extra expense. If you don’t believe us then have a good look around, compare our show sheds to the competition, (that’s if you can reach it – multiples deliberately place show sheds high up on pallet racking so you can’t examine the quality of build!) We’re confident you will agree with us & be back to place an order.

NOTE – ALL OUR SHEDS ARE SUPPLIED DIP TREATED WITH A CUPRINOL BASE COAT.

Facts to consider

Do it yourself?

Decide on whether you’re going to take on the project of building your structure yourself or if you’re going to hire someone to do it for you. Most of our customers tackle the project themselves and quite enjoy it; a form of therapy or family bonding if you will. Often the neighbours will wander over and offer assistance too.
If you are an accomplished ‘do-it yourselfer’, or are ready to come out of the closet, make sure that you have both the time and the energy required for the task at hand. Although a relatively simple task to assemble, some shed panels are heavy and awkward to handle.

Assembly Service?

We are very lucky to have the services of Two Local Tradesmen who offer a professional assembly service available for all our sheds (Assembly charges are shown in the Price list) Please note that payment is made for assembly upon completion (including delivery charge) direct to said tradesman as they are independent contractors. Should you require this excellent service then please state at time of order so we can book his services.

Requirements?

A good quality base will support your building against stress caused by ground movement or settlement, deter rot and will increase the lifespan of your building and investment. Your base should be level, as gauged by a spirit level - not just flat faced but sloping for example. In theory, if your base slopes, the building will also lean to the slope - not ideal. In conclusion, any prepared base area should be level, of an even surface, squared (check diagonals are equal, corner to corner) and of a size no less than the plan size of the building. An ideal base would consist of concrete or paving slabs, but a suitable base can be created using stone chippings & floor bearers if necessary. Ask a staff member for details.

Site Access?

The final location should have good and unrestricted access to allow the transfer of large timber building sections. Most sections are too large to pass through a garage pedestrian door or through a house for example. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure full access is available for the building sections, so to avoid any abortive delivery or erection changes, therefore please check the access available. If you have any access doubts or concerns, please contact us prior to order for advice.
